The Third Annual Robot Film Festival is reaching the final hours of their Kickstarter. Help out if you can! Lots of interesting films have gone been shown there in the past, including my film, Researchin’, from the First Annual Festival.

Also, some interesting stuff is happening down under, namely a musical production of King Kong starring a giant puppet/robot of the King himself. Particularly interesting is their mix of human and automated control. I’m very interested to know more about the actual performance techniques used by Kong. According to my Ontology of Robot Theatre, this probably ranks as either Class IV or Class VI. Check out the site for the video.
